Confidentiality and safety is important to us and all our staff undergo Enhanced Disclosure checks by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) formerly Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

Pauline Allen - Founder
Pauline founded The Sound Learning Centre in 1994. She directs the overall management of the organisation and carries out some assessments. She was personally trained by Dr. Guy in Bérard Auditory Integration Training (AIT) in 1995 and appointed by him as an approved Instructor of other Bérard AIT Practitioners in 2000.(Member of the International Bérard AIT Society – BAITIS) (Member of the International Light Association – ILA) You can read more about Pauline’s experience and qualifications.
Phil Stickland - General ManagerFollowing a career in engineering Phil developed an interest in learning difficulties over twenty years ago and with Pauline Allen later established The Sound Learning Centre in 1994. He now supervises all therapeutic interventions and provides overall management support.(Member of the International Bérard AIT Society – BAITIS, Member of the International Light Association – ILA)
Aste Stankute - Therapy and Training ManagerAstė has a Master’s degree in Psychology. An experienced assessor and therapist Aste is responsible for developing training for new therapists. Performs many assessments and assists clients during therapy sessions. (Graduate Member of The British Psychological Society – BPS, Member of the International Bérard AIT Society – BAITIS, Member of the International Light Association – ILA)
Heather Benghiat - Office and Development ManagerHeather diligently ensures that our administration stays on track, organises external talks, presentations and Outreach programmes whilst looking to the future development of the Centre.
